I share your sentiments. Alas, your skill with words far surpasses mine, so frustrating is an understatement for me. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I’m stupid or something. It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one that feels frustrated at times.

It’s always struck me as amazing how people can just look at someone and just judge them on how big (or little) their eyes are. Down here in Australia there’s a big thing about how “you’re australian first and second” but that itself can go the other way and often seems to encourage militant support for integration and erasure of cultural identity. if you haven’t heard of the cronulla riots you might be interested to google them – let me know your thoughts.

Like my parents, I was born and raised in the islands. It’s understandable for people to assume that I’m Hawaiian, but it’s ridiculous and quite rude for them to make fun of something about which they know nothing. I have no native Hawaiian blood, but I have a deep respect for the culture and traditions that come from growing up there. Whatever.
Chili flakes are a sound idea as well.

Didn’t know that people that blatant were still running around the place, although I’m in Sydney so what would I know. Sucks that we’re all over the place now yet some people just can’t come to terms with that…and that they think they’re hilarious.

Where’s your family from, originally?
